Learn how you can pursue the Global Poverty and Practice minor and have the opportunity to complete a volunteer/internship experience focused on poverty and inequality either locally or abroad. Funding is available to enable students to complete this experience.
We offer Gender and Women's Studies and African American Studies summer courses. We also have a joint summer Race and the Law minor in African American Studies and Ethnic Studies, as well as a summer abroad opportunity in Ghana. We will be available for major advising and academic support.
New courses for summer 2025 include: "ENGIN 170A: Technology Leadership"—explore management and innovation at optimally organized firms; "ENGIN 170D: Technology Leadership: Entrepreneurship"—scenarios and decision-making for entrepreneurs starting scalable businesses; and "ENGIN 170E: Technology Leadership & AI"—gain understanding of AI/ML, become an AI leader, learn to manage AI projects and found AI startups.

The Department of Earth and Planetary Science (EPS) offers summer courses that will satisfy L&S physical science or biological science breadth requirements. EPS summer courses cover a wide variety of earth sciences, from geology and earthquakes to marine science and soil conservation. Visit our table to learn more!
"UGIS 110: Introduction to Disability Studies" focuses on the social and personal meaning of disability and chronic illness. We will explore definitions and conceptual models for the study of disability, the history of disabled people, bio-ethical perspectives, the depiction of disability in literature and the arts, public attitudes, and legal and social policies. The course will investigate the interaction of disability with social factors such as gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity and class. The course is for students with and without disabilities, and may be of special interest to students preparing for careers in the health professions, education, law, architecture, social work or gerontology.
College Writing Programs offers courses in public speaking, Reading and Composition, English as a second language through our Summer English Language Studies program, creative writing, and a joint minor/certificate in teaching English in a global context.

We are offering a variety of in-person courses this summer including CHEM 1A (General Chemistry), 1AL (General Chemistry Lab), 3A (Organic Chemistry I), 3AL (Organic Chemistry I Lab), 3B (Organic Chemistry II), 3BL (Organic Chemistry Lab II), 32 (Prep for General Chemistry) and 115 (Organic Chemistry—Advanced Laboratory Methods). We also have stockroom student assistant positions that are ideal for those looking to gain experience handling chemicals, maintaining equipment and working in a laboratory environment, and Chemistry TA/uGSI positions for all offered courses.
