Deolinda M. Adao has taught Portuguese language and literature in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at UC Berkeley. She received her master's degree in Hispanic Languages and Literatures with an emphasis on Luso-Brazilian Studies at UC Berkeley. Prior to directing the Travel Study program in Portugal through Berkeley Summer Sessions, she participated in the Travel Study program in Cuba for three years as a program assistant, program director, and program administrator. She also ran summer programs in Portugal for other universities.
