Lura Dolas is the advanced acting instructor in the Department of Theater, Dance and Performance Studies at UC Berkeley. She has taught for the Boston University Theater Institute, the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, and the California Institute of the Arts in Los Angeles and was the founding director of the California Shakespeare Festival Conservatory. In addition to teaching and directing, Lura has performed leading roles for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, the California Shakespeare Festival in Orinda, Shakespeare Santa Fe, the Aurora Theater in Berkeley, Theater Emory in Atlanta, the Empty Space Theater in Seattle, the Sacramento Theater Company and numerous other theaters across the country. Lura holds an M.A. from Antioch International in conjunction with the London Drama Studio, Berkeley and the American Conservatory Theater.
