We provide the support you need to be successful. After you enroll, our program managers will contact you by telephone to conduct a Learning Preparedness Assessment (LPA). During this call we can ensure that you have the tools you need to access the courses and participate fully in the interactive online learning environment.

Organic Chemistry Laboratory

An emphasis is placed on the separation and purification of organic compounds. Techniques covered will include extraction, distillation, sublimation, recrystalization, and chromatography. Detailed discussions and applications of infrared and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy will be included. (All introductory lectures, lab safety and equipment instruction will happen online. If you are only taking an online course(s):- UC students will be charged a one-time reduced $6 Campus Fee, and then unit fees for your course(s).
- Visiting students will pay a one-time $100 Registration Fee, and then unit fees for your course(s). If you take any additional Summer Sessions courses:

You are subject to the regular course fees.

PLEASE NOTE:
At the time of enrollment your CARS (student billing service) account will be assessed the regular full Summer Sessions Enrollment fees ($108 for UC Students, $385 for Visiting Students). On June 9, we will verify that you did not enroll in additional "non-online" courses. At that time the additional charges will be removed from your CARS account, resulting in the above reduced enrollment fees.
