Spanish

The Spanish Summer Session offers a variety of regular and intensive language courses. Scholars and a selected experienced and trained group of instructors lead the sessions, in which all the different elements of the language are covered: writing, listening, speaking and reading. Language courses meet from two to four hours daily for eight weeks (we also offer six week courses). Intensive courses cover two semesters of university level of beginning and intermediate language instruction. These courses are most beneficial for people with previous knowledge of the language. Regular courses offered are Spanish 1, 2, and 4. The Spanish 4 course is an advanced intermediate course that emphasizes expository and argumentative writing. Students in all the summer courses are trained to communicate in Spanish in a real environment.
